First Change

We ended our prayer and devotion to the promise of immortality, and were told to go outside. To our amazement, the world around us had changed. It was a terrifying beauty that I couldn't explain, but I felt a warmth in my heart knowing now it had to be true.

There was a place love and peace, and all I had to do was become one of them. I knew that I wanted to be one of the 100,000 to enter paradise. From that day on, I embraced the teachings with an open mind and heart.

Maybe the signs of decay and death, should have warned me of the false promise.
